President Trump To Say Goodbye To UN Treaty
President Trump has announced that he will be withdrawing the US from the U.N. Arms Treaty over fears that it could be used to seized US arms. Fox News reports:
President Trump announced Friday that his administration is withdrawing the U.S. signature from the U.N. Arms Trade Treaty, in response to concerns from gun rights activists that it could impinge on Americans’ right to bear arms
“Under my administration we will never surrender American sovereignty to anyone, we will never allow foreign bureaucrats to trample on your Second Amendment freedom and that is why my administration will never ratify the U.N. trade treaty,” Trump told an audience at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting in Indianapolis.
“I am officially announcing today that the United States will be revoking the effect of America’s signature from this badly misguided treaty, we’re taking our signature back,” he said.
Former President Barack Obama signed the treaty in 2013 and sent the treaty to the Senate for ratification. Onstage Friday, Trump signed a notice to the Senate asking it to stop the ratification process and return the treaty to the White House, “where I will dispose of it.”
President Trump is fulfilling his oath to defend the Constitution of the United States and the right of Americans to keep and bear arms.

PJ, you never win peace by appeasement. Other administrations have done that, and also paid hostage payments, and what did it ever get for North Americans? WWI and WWII got USA drug into them, by trying to stay nationalist, and out of it. Neutral. But USA appeared weak, and the attacks came. Same with Korean and Vietnam conflicts. Congress did not have gut (know the appeasers tried hard to call it intestional fortitude, but it did not work). We, who served knew both were wars, and dirty, viscous wars, with lot our young men and women killed and injured. And in Korean, lot of gutless ones ran to Canada, receiving a pardon from Jimmy Carter. But we had other names for them, during our service years. During Korean conflict, we had quite a few “conscientious objectors, who did not believe in war or killing, but they served, and did their duty in non fighting areas or skills.
Peace??? That’s NOT a “peace” I ever want to live under! I’d rather fight a bloody war for my (and your) freedom than to live in “peace” as a slave to the “united nutcases”.
If you want to live under that kind of “peace”, go live in North Korea and see for yourself what it’s really like.
You may not know this but, in most cases “Peace” depends upon strength. To me, that means that your enemy has no respect for you if you show your ass, rather than your teeth! As for “Isolationism”, I believe that if our country stopped spending billions of dollars in “Foreign Aid” and spent all those dollars here back home, our country would be far better off. All that foreign countries mean to US, to be blunt, are tit suckers! As long as they think that we have a loose tit, they’ll continue to try and suck. Trump is right in his attempts to make our “Allies” more accountable, they’ve been on the “tit” for way too long! Over the years, I really don’t know what the UN has done for US, as a matter of fact, I think that it would be in our best interests to drop kick their ass out of the US!

With 25 DIRECT Rev war patriot ancestors who helped break the back of the British with their participation in the Battles of King’s Mountain, Cowpens and Guilford Courthouse, plus others, I could not agree more with NEVER again allowing a foreign power rule us or create our laws! Even Great Britain decided not to allow the EU make their laws, so why should we allow the UN, the body that NEVER votes with America, make our laws!
