Texas Weighs In On Borderwall
The state of Texas is looking to fund Donald Trump’s borderwall in Texas. Breitbart reports:
Two Texas statehouse members will soon introduce legislation funding President Donald Trump’s planned border wall along the U.S. border with Mexico — specifically the Texas border — Breitbart News has learned.
State Reps. Kyle Biedermann and Briscoe Cain intend to introduce legislation soon that would fund $2.5 billion of wall construction along the Texas border with Mexico, appropriating it from the economic stabilization fund for the state fiscal year ending August 31, 2019. The funds would be used, Biedermann tells Breitbart News, “to design, test, construct, and install physical barriers, roads, and technology along the international land border between the State of Texas and Mexico to prevent illegal crossings in all areas.”
AdvertisementPreference for the contracts and awarding of bids, Biedermann added, “for all phases of construction” would be given to Texans and Texas-owned entities.
While this idea is still novel and untested, given the fact that Republicans control the Texas statehouse and Texas state Senate and Texas’ governor Greg Abbott is a strong ally of President Trump’s, this type of plan could actually work in legally acquiring appropriations for a significant portion of what Trump intends to do along the border.
If this is not challenged in court, it could be a huge source of funding for Homeland Security, circumventing House appropriations. Texas’ border with Mexico is the longest among US states, so this would take care of the problem in that section of the border.

Eliminate the c.i.a., the e.p.a, the federal dept of indoctrination which has nothing to do with education, and the f.d.a. and use the money for these federal institutions to build the wall. Bring all of our troops home from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq and use them to help build the wall. None of these countries had anything to do with 9/11.
Yup, also shut down and cleanse the fbi as well, abolish ALL foreign aid, and begin enforcing the laws, employ illegals gets jail time, giving welfare of any kind to an illegal gets jail time, allowing an illegal in school, or treating in a hospital gets jail time, allowing illegals to register and/or vote gets jail time…..ETC!

Enforce e-verify, with heavy penalties, & absolutely no welfare, or any other kind of assistance, for illegal aliens(& those overstaying VISAs) would eliminate most of the enticement for those coming here, illegally.
This is a great idea,leave it to Texas to do something great. I like Ernaldo’s idea,jail all that encourage illegals in any way,we have to do all that can be done. With the Left’s big money now funding these caravans we need many people on our side to keep out the criminals. This country still welcomes those that seek a real American life they just have to be legal immigrants not illegals. It seems that those that keep starting these groups of invaders need to be arrested and their money taken away because they are just helping the crooks,not the good people.
If Texas does vote to fund the Texas part of the wall guess what. The liberal socialist including Peloshi, Warren, Harris, Booker, Schumer, Waters, Ortiz, and the list goes on will try and stop Texas from doing what they should be doing. That is protecting our country instead of tearing it down.
Great idea. Why does it seem that every single thing President Trump sets out to do for the betterment of our country ALWAYS runs the risk of “being challenged in court”?? To my recollection, this has not been the case in previous administrations. I mean, Obama had a “pen and a phone”, and that just seemed hunky dorey with everyone around him.

What a great idea! Texas should also consider filing suite against the federal government for failure to protect the State against invasion as provided for in Article IV of the Constitution.
We do not want and we will never accept illegal aliens that sneak into our country and go straight on the dole. They burn our flag, they urinate on our flag, stomp on it and have complete disregard for our laws and they want us to support them and their sick families, with healthcare and a free education. On top of all this, they refuse to assimilate into the spirit of America and become part of our USA society. No way Jose. President Trump, God Bless his soul, is doing his very best to make sure that people who hate America, will never get a free ride and preach their hate for America any chance they get while they are bleeding our taxpayers dry.
