President Trump cancelled Nancy Pelosi’s military flight to Europe and the Middle East, in an attempt to continue focusing on resolving the government shutdown. Fox News reports:
President Trump on Thursday abruptly denied military aircraft to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for a foreign trip just minutes before the congressional delegation was set to depart, in a stunning response to her call to delay the State of the Union address amid the government shutdown.
In a curt letter, Trump said her trip has been “postponed.”
“Due to the Shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan has been postponed. We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate,” Trump wrote.
“I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial, that would certainly be your prerogative.”
Let’s see if Nancy Pelosi would still rather fly out of country rather than remain in Washington and do her job.

800,000 people not receiving paychecks and she want to take a vacation to Brussels, Egypt, and Afghanistan. Just what does she plan to do over there? If she were to travel, even if it were on a Military aircraft this still cost money and I’m sure she will bring her entourage consisting of some unknown number who must be feed and sheltered during their stay in each of these countries. You can bet that they will not be staying in any Motel 6 and eating at the local I Hop.
The flight time from Washington, District of Columbia to Brussels, Belgium is: 8 hours, 15 minutes. Air Force Two costs about $30,000 an hour to operate, according to the Air Force, as of Oct 16, 2017. At that rate pelosi’s one way trip to Brussels will cost approximately $247,500.00. So her itinerary will be DC to Brussels, Brussels to Cairo and then Cairo to Afghanistan. The return trip would be shorter unless she needs to stop in London to say Hi to the Queen. The return trip would be Afghanistan to London, London to DC making the total trip of 5 legs. Without bothering to find the exact miles from Brussels to Cairo and where ever she plans to land in Afghanistan, and using the $247,000.00 as an average cost per destination the total cost of just the flights would be approximately $1,237,500.00 and of course that does not include meals and hotel stays. So again I ask what does she need to go to Afghanistan for and at the cost of over a Million Dollars what will this trip accomplish?

The Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists view any compromise as a failure and pelosi knows that the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists cannot afford another failure; so she would rather go to Porto Rico and plan a trip to Brussels, Egypt and the middle east rather than stay in Washington and fix this problem. Right now there is nothing more important then reopening the government and getting all 800,000 government employees back to work; that is except to the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists.
