Mainstream Media Attempts to Discredit Senate Republicans
NBC News was exposed for its purposeful misquoting of Senator Bill Cassidy, in an attempt to create the illusion of a GOP senate break with President Trump . The Daily Caller reports:
NBC News published and aired a misquote of Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy on Thursday to suggest that the Republican was turning on President Donald Trump over alleged hush money payments.
Cassidy spoke to CNN reporter Manu Raju on Tuesday about whether or not Trump’s coordination of hush payments to multiple women constitutes a campaign finance violation. Cassidy invoked a similar case involving former Senator and presidential candidate John Edwards, who ultimately escaped punishment, to defend Trump from allegations of illegality.
AdvertisementHowever, NBC ran a shortened and misquoted version of Cassidy’s comments to create a narrative that he — and potentially other Republicans — were turning on the president.
The misquote was apparently due to a transcription error by NBC News’ automated service, according to a review of the internal transcript by The Daily Caller.
This is not the first time that news organizations selectively edit Republicans to make them say something they did not.

The lamestream media has lost all credibility. They are finished as a news source, at least in my home. They only qualify as a comedy show, if even that.
As the difference between computer screen and television screen narrows, big budget alphabet news productions will be supplanted. The feasibility of lavish sets will dwindle and “news” will become totally live, some as audio only and some of which will be from amateurs coincidentally at the scenes. When news becomes mostly live, today’s “journalists” will find it increasingly difficult to spin to their chosen ideology.
There is no journalistic integrity anymore! They should be sued for defamation of character, slander, and libel!!! It’s only going to get worse if they’re not held accountable. I’m so glad President Trump cancelled the annual press party this year. They have lost that privilege!!!

Golly Gee, the Lamestream Media is lying about President Trump. I may have a heart attack and die from the surprise. I have long since quit listening to them on ANYTHING even remotely related to politics, and they even seem to have problems on “regular” news. Most of the time they don’t even try to retract or “correct” their garbage. It is a WASTE of time to watch/listen/read their drivel.
While I’m a conservative, I have to say that while I don’t agree with NBC’s drivel, I also question the Repubs on their failures. I’ve seen so many failures even after we gave them control. Promises not kept and out right lies….mainly from the RINOs. The only thing I can say about them is they are the lesser of the two evils of those who are put up for our votes.
It’s immoral if President made these payments, even if it’s legal. If, (and I say _if) it seems the right thing to do, is to apologize to her for what he’s done. But, if this is something that the media has palmed-off on him, he needs to be acquitted immediately!
