President Trump Willing to Escalate Border Wall Fight
President Trump has put his foot down, saying he’d be willing to shut the government down over border wall funding. The Washington Examiner reports:
President Trump said that he would “totally be willing” to shut down the government if Congress doesn’t agree to his demand for $5 billion to build a border wall.
“People look at the border, they look at the rush to the police, they look at the rock throwers and really hurting three people, three very brave border patrol folks,” Trump told Politico in a Tuesday night Oval Office interview. “I think that it’s a tremendous issue, but much more importantly, is really needed. So we have to have border security.”

Senate lawmakers agreed earlier this year that they would want to pass $1.6 billion in border wall funding, which Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer stuck to on Tuesday.
President Trump, now unconstrained by the midterm election, might very well go through with it and could be backed by the GOP Senate majority.

He knew coming in he was not going to have support from the Democrats, since they have voted from everything, before they started opposing it, from 1986, especially after Ted Kennedy was so set on influencing Pres. Ronald Reagan, if he just gave amnesty to illegal aliens, border would be secured, with more agents, and w would never have a problem with that afterwards. Democrats and Republicans all voted for that, then got weak kneed ins the administrations after that. They have lied, and lied again, over and over, and Republicans who came into office, did the same after that. As so many went through our college and universities, with higher degrees, they wee brain washed to believe socialism would work, if right people controlled it. And even Communism, Fascism, looks good on paper, and even works in small groups, when all have same ideas, and thoughts. When larger bodies, with diverse opinions, none of those work long. Donald had 70 years to study politics, and always found business more interesting, and reactive to new programs, faster. Politics is talk, talk, talk, and decades to see mostion. One thing about Donald, he does not bluff, unless he has alternate means to get done, what he sets out to do. And he does not draw red lines in the sand, to be ignored, when lines are violated;. Newt Gingrich led the battle to close government down in Bill Clinton Years. And in my mind, I have always blamed Bill and Hillary Clinton, and their supporters for making that necessary. Now Harry Reid started this problem by setting on bills, and keeping them in committee or on desk, with no action. Nancy Pelosi followed same in House, until they lost control of House . Now Pelosi, Schumer, Durbin, leading the Democrats, are doing it again. Democrats have lied and twisted, since 1986, and society steadily has gone down hill. If Government must be shut down now, I will always blame Democrats. TAX and SPEND policies are not winners in my book, and never have been.
