New Border Wall Plan Revealed

The Trump administration has recently revealed a new border wall project in Arizona. The Washington Examiner reports:

The Arizona border will have 32 miles of existing wall replaced starting next April.

The $324 million project has been given the green light by federal immigration officials, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Thursday.

The project will switch out an old barrier that runs from the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector west into the Yuma Sector, which is just miles from Arizona’s border with California. The replacement wall is meant to keep pedestrians and vehicles from entering the U.S. Older barriers were largely to prevent cars from driving over, but were only a few feet tall and did little to keep people from trespassing from Mexico.

The undertaking, which will be paid for by congressional funding for CBP from 2018 legislation, is part of President Trump’s January 2017 executive order to secure the country by improving barriers in vulnerable and high-traffic areas.

This is a crucial piece of border security that will make all Americans safer.

As the old man said when he peed in the sea, “Every little bit helps.”

This is lot more than a little bit. Wife and I traveled that country in earlier years, and stayed at campgrounds there, driving vans, motor home, and travel trailers. Many years of leaving Denver Metro area, in winter to travel the south west. Have walked to and along the barb wire fence, and up the water gulleys, to see foot prints where illegals had traveled during the night. Border patrol drug those gulleys, to leave them unmarked, so check for foot prints during daylight hours, then go find the crossers, but they were very good at hiding. So this will help to cut the pathway north, from Sonono, Mexico, to Tucson and Phoenix, where they were hidden away in safe houses by the coyotes, then transported up I-25 to Denver. Even had regular Greyhound route from Denver, via I-25, to those two Arizona cities, transporting both ways. Denver is and has been hub for years from 2006 and before, for them to then travel east, west, north and south by regular services, with too many staying in the Denver metro area. Have visited Ajo, Arizona many times, to visit the National Park, and the copper mine, now closed. Do not travel any more, but this will cut off lot of that traffic, since they had regular assistance along the way. All for a price,

ALL lengths of border wall need the razor wire installed at the base and the top of every foot of completed wall.

I agree 100%, I would like to see it also installed on the ground on the US side, put it from the wall to about 10′ out. This would prevent anyone who made the top of the wall with a ladder from jumping or rappelling down on our side, it’s time to get nasty. Close down the border shut everyone out and let Mexico feed and care for the cockroaches. Put a bounty on illegals $500.00 when you turn one in, this may even cause their own people who came legally turn in the sneaks.

How about “land mines”?? Way cheaper than a wall and far more effective.

The job must be done. People that wanted the border fence, seem to have voted in Democrats and Democrats do love their Banditos.

Maybe we could let the National Guardsman and the U.S. Military use them for target practice. By letting them get into this country they are killing us. Rapes, robbery’s and all kinds of mischief that cost the counties and cities involve massive amounts of money to clean up after them. I myself am tired of it and we can’t let it keep going.

CBP/ICE need to use the cartels $USs going back South to help with the Walls construction. $B’s every month/ year go back South, and who gets it …. the Treasury dept. !?!? STUPID IS AS STUPID GOES.

The President is keeping his promise of a border wall, although very slowly, due mainly to congress and the opposition. I don’t think any sane person expected to see the entire wall built in one fell swoop. As long as he keeps adding to it, I will believe he is keeping his word.

The Guards need to be told to shoot to kill. That is the only thing that will keep them out. There IS precedent … The Berlin Wall.
IF they want to come in legally, fine I have no problem with that, but Illegal Entry? Shoot to STOP them from trying again.

I want a wall! I want an impenetrable barrier! I do NOT want more stupid fencing, and my guess is this is more wasteful fencing!

Guess we will have to wait for liberal California to fall into the sea. No more sanctuary city/state. To bad we cannot find a way to make it more profitable to live Mexico and all the countries south of their borders.
