This Trump Appointee Is Still Blocked By Dems
Charles “Cully” Stimson, a former DoD official and Heritage Foundation senior fellow, has had his nomination blocked by a vindictive Senator Gillibrand. The Washington Examiner reports:
President Trump’s nominee to be the Navy’s general counsel, who has languished in the Senate for more than 14 months, is being held up by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., her office confirmed Thursday.
The senator did not immediately provide a reason for her hold on Charles “Cully” Stimson. But the senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation was a strong critic of Gillibrand’s attempts in recent years to pass legislation reforming military sexual assault prosecutions.
AdvertisementIn 2016, Gillibrand’s Military Justice Improvement Act, a signature piece of legislation for the senator, was facing a third potential vote in the chamber after failing twice before. The bill would have removed sex assault prosecutions from the military chain of command.
Stimson wrote a critical column dubbing the legislation the “Military Justice Destruction Act.”
This appointment is one of many essential to running America’s military, and Democrats are jeopardizing national security by blocking it.

Get rid of (vote out) what is blocking & hurting America (i.e. the Dems). As far as I am concerned may the Dem party do what the Wig Party did, just disappear, evaporate, go away. A 2 party system can be good. So may the sane, thinking, reasonable, American patriots who are not Republican form a new party with a new name & NO old Dem ties. No swamp ties. A party devoted to honesty & hard work, not corruption & power at any cost.
