President Trump Exposes Biased News Coverage

President Trump has recently accused Google of skewing search results against positive coverage in the White House. The Washington Examiner reports:

President Trump, chafing against news coverage he says is unfair, accused search-engine operator Google of suppressing positive stories about him and threatening a government response.

“This is a very serious serious situation — will be addressed,” he wrote on Twitter, the social media platform where he has more than 50 million followers. The president and Congressional Republicans have all accused tech companies based in liberal-leaning Silicon Valley of suppressing news favorable to them, a claim their executives have denied in a number of hearings.

What action the president might attempt wasn’t immediately clear. Constitutional guarantees bar the government from restricting freedom of speech or the press, but not private companies or individuals, and Google, Facebook and Twitter have all denied presenting content in a way that favors either end of the political spectrum.

“Google search results for ‘Trump News’ shows only the viewing/reporting of Fake New Media,” the president wrote on Twitter. “In other words, they have it RIGGED, for me & others, so that almost all stories & news is BAD. Fake CNN is prominent. Republican/Conservative & Fair Media is shut out. Illegal?”

Whether Google actually is skewing results is unclear, but conservatives at large are skeptical about Big Tech’s political leanings.

I run into this every day while trying to find certain Republican politicians. I used to use Yahoo, but all of their stories were those bad Republicans and just how great Democrats are or stories about how badly illegal immigration (or what they call undocumented immigrants) are treated by the conservative wing of our country. I had to stop yahoo altogether. I have even weaned myself off of Google and use alternative search engines. It’s still not right that I should have to do that especially with a company that says they are not bias!

Time to act against these hacks who’ve made money from all of us! Way to much money. They have to be held accountable. Intentional suppression or intentional lies must be stopped. You’re the commander and chief! Stop these brats.
