Trump Cancels Parade For This Important Reason
President Trump has cancelled the military parade for 2018, citing high costs. The Daily Wire reports:
The military parade that President Trump wanted following his trip to France has been canceled due to the high costs.
According to The Hill, the president said on Friday that he “was canceling plans for a military parade, blaming a $92 million price tag and local politicians in Washington, D.C.”
AdvertisementWith reports estimating on Thursday the military parade would exceed $80 million during a time of rising debt, Trump took to Twitter saying “local politicians” were responsible for the rising price tag.
“The local politicians who run Washington, D.C. (poorly) know a windfall when they see it. When asked to give us a price for holding a great celebratory military parade, they wanted a number so ridiculously high that I cancelled it. Never let someone hold you up! I will instead attend the big parade already scheduled at Andrews Air Force Base on a different date, & go to the Paris parade, celebrating the end of the War, on November 11th,” Trump wrote.
Will the costs for a parade go down next year? In the meantime, Trump has vowed to shift that money to purchase additional military hardware.

You won’t get any argument from the troops. They’d rather have $46 ($92 million ÷ 2 million active duty and reserve troops).
The President did the right thing, but the local thieves who claim to be politicians were ready and able to make a fast buck, but that won’t work with President Trump!
Politicians are always the problem. Self interest oversees caring about the people voting them into their cushy lifestyles. A Businessman looks at things differently.
