President Donald Trump on Friday endorsed John James in Michigan’s Republican primary for U.S. Senate.

The 37-year-old African-American business executive and Iraq War helicopter pilot is running against detergent manufacturer Sandy Pensler in the Aug. 7 contest. The winner will advance to face third-term Democratic Sen. Debbie Stabenow in November.

“I want to help the president create more economic opportunity, secure our borders and strengthen our national security. From the battlefield to the boardroom, I have the experience to get the job done for Michigan,” James said in a statement.
Both candidates have said they support Trump and have defended his trade and tariff policies, which Detroit-based automakers and other businesses say are hurting them. James and a super PAC backing him have run TV ads criticizing Pensler for not liking Trump’s “style” and saying that he cannot speak at a “fourth-grade level” like Trump. Pensler has said the remarks were taken “completely” out of context and he was defending the president by complimenting his simple, succinct communication skills.
President Trump weighed in ahead of the Michigan Republican primary in August, as James overtook Pensler in a recent poll. The 37 year old veteran is a staunch supporter of President Trump, looks to take on longtime Democrat incumbent in a critical race to maintain Republican control of the Senate. The president endorsed James Friday in a series of tweets, giving him the boost he needs to win in August.

I honestly don’t believe anyone who is paying attention will neglect their patriotic duty and vote RED in November!!! We can never allow Democrats to take over the government again. They are not the old Blue Dogs, those moderates are long gone. This is an entirely new party made up of Socialist/Communist and they are out to destroy this country from the inside out, as in BO’s Regime. Their platform isn’t even Constitutional. Borders, killing the unborn, and the born if it is alive after a botched abortion! You tell me that is what the JFK and Blue Dogs would ever vote for! The JFK Democrats, many were Catholic, as was JFK and Bobby. They were adamantly against abortion, the only time they would even consider it is if the mother’s life was in grave danger, then it was up to her. The GOP and Democrats both, believed in very strong borders and would never allow every criminal, gang member, illegal alien with umpteen family members and children come live in America off of our dime unless they were becoming American citizens. This new DSA Party is evil, it is not Constitutional, and it needs to go. Clean the swamp, one bottom feeder at a time. It will take years to do this, as it took years for the Socialist/Communist to infiltrate the party, but it can, and will be done if we have President Trump and a straight RED WAVE!
I do not trust John James. He contributed money to City Council Liberal, Raquel Castelandro, his parents are/have been staunch Debbie Stabenow supporters, he is against capital punishment, and claims he will push for the American dream for ALL. Democrats (especially Hillary) campaign on the dream for all, with blanket free college ed. His campaign literature apparently went out “accidentally” stating he would “defend” rather than “defund” sanctuary cities. I was thrilled when I first heard of him, but now I am thinking how Obama’s charisma got him elected to our eventual nightmare. I need to know more about this guy.
Good info, ssg. I’ve been getting daily e-mails from his campaign begging for $. I’m from a middle Atlantic state, so don’t I want to go that far afield when I’ve got much bigger concerns in my state. I would like to know more about James. Did he or his campaign portray Sandy Pensler incorrectly, take his comments “completely” out of context? Is Pensler complimenting President Trump or is he a never Trumper, or did he become a later Trump supporter? There’s a couple of questions to start.

He’s built a multi-million dollar family business that employs hundreds of workers in good paying jobs. He will be a TREMENDOUS ASSET to the United States Senate, and he deserves our fullest support. John James is one of the most exciting GOP recruits in this Election. LOVE LOVE LOVE this guy!

John James seems to be an upstanding man, so glad he is a Black man running in Michigan, he can get some help in those communities that Obama failed to help. President Trump is trying to get jobs and manufacturing in the black and poorer communities. We need to Vote Republican and make Michigan “Red” !
