How President Trump’s Vetting Rules Keep Americans Safe
WHAT: President Donald J. Trump’s action to restrict the entry of individuals from certain countries is working to strengthen our screening and vetting capabilities.
On September 24, 2017, President Donald J. Trump signed a Proclamation establishing entry restrictions for nationals from certain countries. The Proclamation followed an extensive, world-wide review, which determined that the selected countries were not adequately sharing information about their nationals with the United States or presented other risk factors that threatened our national security.
Following President Trump’s actions, other countries have adopted new security measures, strengthening our ability to identify and properly vet individuals entering or seeking to enter the United States. Information-sharing and identification practices between the United States and foreign governments have significantly improved as a result. For example, in response to the President’s actions, 29 countries produced example travel documents that can be used to combat fraud, and 11 countries agreed to share information on known or suspected terrorists.
One country addressed by the Proclamation, Chad, made such significant strides in improving its information-sharing that the entry restrictions were lifted. The significant steps taken by Chad and other nations make clear that the Administration’s efforts to enhance our national security are working.
WHY: The restrictions established by President Trump are needed to prevent individuals who pose a threat to our safety and security from entering the United States.
President Trump’s top priority is the safety and security of the American people. The Proclamation’s entry restrictions advance that priority. Without them, dangerous criminals or terrorists could evade detection and enter our country from nations that fail to fully provide the information we need for our screening and vetting processes. Further, without the Proclamation, foreign governments would have little incentive to improve their information-sharing practices moving forward, only making the problem worse.
Simply put, the entry restrictions are needed to strengthen our national security and are succeeding in doing exactly that.

They actually do. Most of the countries listed were identified by Obama three years ago. They have been doing the heavy vetting since then.
We really needed the stronger vetting. It was in place years ago and it worked. Then we went lax the last eight years. Look at what we have been dealing with, the l8kes of MS-13, sanctuary cities, illegals, rapes, etc. thanks President atrump for caring about my grandchildren’s future.

Hi you are doing great so far.Now you have to do something with SS for your elderly voters.The SS amounts have fallen behind so far it starting to match poverty status.If you talk to people who lost their company retirement,they have nothing and have to fight in their own homes.

Even though, in my early years I didn’t know I was a republican I definitely knew the difference between right and wrong and everything the democrats seemed to approve of were wrong for me and the country. I can proudly say I have never voted for a democrat and never will. IT IS UNAMERICAN TO DO SO.
Not only vote but hit everyone you know with the need to keep the democRATS out so Trump can get e-verify passed, stop chain migration, stop the immigrant law that lets anybody into this country and hopefully the congress will amend the fourteenth amendment so that illegals having babies in the US will not automatically be citizens but will carry the citizenship of its illegal mother
Not only vote but talk to everyone you know about the importance of voting for a responsible person who will help Trump get the immigrant bills passed that the US needs, e-verify, end chain migration, end the immigrant bill that lets anybody take advantage of it and come to the US with no verification of who they are and what they believe in, last but not least press congress to amend the fourteenth amendment, stop illegal babies born in the US from being automatic citizens let them carry the citizenship of their illegal mother, other countries have stopped this practice and it is past time the US does the same it will stop illegals from coming here to have their babies because there would be no advantage for them, there would be no anchor babies so the illegal would not have a leg to stand on to keep from being deported

The liberal keep harping on things that are basically un-American. Obama’s term saw limiting of our citizens’ rights and granting rights to Muslims to do as they pleased. The Democrats are such bottom feeders for votes that they buss people to the places of voting, have dead people vote, and have whole sections vote 99% which is statically impossible.
They also promise social services to illegals to lure them in so they can vote demo.
This was the issue that Trump grabbed like a football and ran with all the way to the white house.
If the liberals want to allow illegal immigrants to live here then they should be required to house them in their own home, provide “all” their living expenses, food, clothing, medical care, education, insurance, and be held liable for any criminal acts, court costs, lawsuits and expenses related to misbehavior of any kind they may commit, etc. The rest of us American’s should not be out any expense in relation to them. The wall should be built immediately, the expense of building the wall will pay for itself by not having to pay for illegals court costs, prison costs, welfare, education, housing, medical care, drug rehabilitation for our own children (at least the ones that live) as well as theirs, etc. and our children’s education will not be held back because of the teachers having to spend so much time teaching English, etc. to Illegals. Perhaps some of our children will also be able to receive some of the free college education grants that are now only available to illegal students. Our elderly, poor, disabled, and retired military can receive some the assistance that has been available to only illegals.

I second Norma’s comments– President Trump needs to be held in high esteem because of all he is doing for America at this time and will continue to do so.
