The most fundamental responsibility of government is to protect its citizens. This is an issue for all governors, but it has added meaning and complexity for border governors.

For years, Americans, particularly in border states such as Arizona, have been calling on the federal government to secure our border. It is frustrating to hear the rhetoric from the talking heads on cable news on this issue. Despite what some may say, our southern border is not secure. That is the truth, plain and simple.
That is why I am grateful for this administration’s actions to address border security. The announcement by President Trump to call up the National Guard to support the mission of the Border Patrol is needed and welcomed. Unfortunately, there are those who like to play politics with the issue. Those of us on the border don’t have that luxury.

But with a border nearly 373 miles — longer than the entire length of Pennsylvania — we can’t do this on our own.

It is time to put an end to DNC efforts to get Trump out of office and to get aggressive in pursuing legal action against Obama, Clinton, Mueller, FBI false investigators, California Governor, Oakland Mayor, Oboma’s head of DOJ, the meeting between Lynch and Clinton, and Steele document and all involved participants. I live in New Mexico and closing off the southern border should have been done ages ago. Our state is mostly blue and leaning toward becoming a sanctuary state which I think is absurd. The Democrats care more about the illegal aliens (and we have a ton of them here eating up ALL our resources) than they care for REAL American citizens. The next thing we have to do is get rid of Birthright citizenship because that is the big reason people come here.

1] The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on US Taxpayers “estimates the federal, state, and local levels, taxpayers shell out approximately $134.9 billion” as documented by Matt O’Brien and Spencer Raley dtd. September 27, 2017. The future social services, judicial and imprisonment costs are sky rocketing.
2] The $135 Billion did not include the cost of humans and illicit drugs trafficking, lost citizen’s wages, the society’s drug users and crime victims. Not alone the grief of stricken families of victims
3] The MIT and the anti-Trump Washington Post’s fact checker estimated the wall cost could be as high as $25 to $41 Billion for the entire border length. The highest and most recent cost estimates (used by Democrats) did not exceed $69 Billion
4] Reducing the annual costs by 10%, the worse-case Wall Cost would be repaid within 2 to 5 years !!!
5] When did any government (or any financial adviser) make an investment with a 20% to 50% return within the first year followed by that annuity for life?
6] Even I would invest in a limited 5% bond to be repaid in within 10 years from the above savings. That bond issue would generate too much money if I were made available.

We in southeastern AZ trail ride our horses, hike and camp with our conceal carry guns, because we have been cautioned to arm ourselves due to the drug cartels crossing the US/Mexican boarder in our national forests, they being heavily armed with 223’s and 308’s. Only the Liberals think the US is safe at our boarders because they don’t live here on a daily basis and see them crossing our BLM land and the big ranches, sometimes poaching US cattle.
He’s definitely on the right track. And I’m a suffering intelligent Californian with not so common common sense. There’s actually quite a lot of us. Years ago a majority of us passed prop 187 which was squashed by a 9th circuit liberal judge. We all felt like we’d been betrayed and why’d we waste our time voting, if the desire of over 70% of voters can be stopped by a judge who will twist the meaning of what constitutional is, to benefit illegal non-citizens.
The next serious issue that must be addressed is that of anchor babies. When we have pregnant illegals breaching our borders just when they are about to give birth in order to proclaim their newborn an American Citizen and then be allowed to remain here simply because they gave birth in the U.S. It’s time to change this law. It makes no sense anymore. I always wonder and worry how many pregnant mothers and their beautiful little babies die at the hands of coyotes. The bastards who profit from this law are not only the human traffickers but the very liberals who think they are doing these poor people a favor. I can’t say any more or I’m gonna lose my cool. Ask your liberal friends and non friends if they lock their home doors and windows, garage doors, car doors, bikes, and businesses at night when they close. I bet most lock them during the day when they’re home. Ask them why. We know what the obvious answer should be. So why shouldn’t we lock our borders? We don’t allow just anyone in our homes without first getting to know something about them. Why is it wrong and mean and prejudice to want to treat those coming across our borders with same due diligence?!?
