My Fellow Americans,
Protecting the safety and well-being of American Citizens is my highest duty as President. Yet, lawless sanctuary jurisdictions are nullifying federal law, obstructing immigration enforcement, and releasing thousands of criminal aliens into U.S. communities to prey on innocent victims. It’s absolutely terrible.
For example, in recent days, San Francisco officials denied ICE’s request to turn over a criminal alien with a prior conviction for battery and a charge for driving under the influence.
In another city in California, local law enforcement recently denied ICE’s request to turn over a criminal alien convicted of Sexual Battery who had a history of domestic violence. A truly violent person.
And last week, the mayor of Oakland warned criminal aliens of a coming ICE enforcement action – giving them time to scatter and hide from authorities. The mayor’s conduct directly threatened the safety of federal immigration officers and the law-abiding Americans in her community.
The State of California is sheltering dangerous criminals in a brazen and lawless attack on our Constitutional system of government. Every state in our Union is subject to the laws and Constitution of the United States – including California. Yet California’s leaders are in open defiance of federal law. They don’t care about crime. They don’t care about death and killings. They don’t care about robberies. They don’t care about the kind of things that you and I care about.
In other recent cases, New York authorities released illegal aliens who were previously charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, possession of poisonous drugs, and strangling a person – in each case, New York officials had refused to turn these dangerous illegal aliens over to ICE or notify ICE about their release with enough time for them to be safely arrested.
Just this week, the city of Denver refused ICE’s request to turn over a criminal illegal alien charged with vehicular homicide for killing another driver in a horrific hit-and-run.
Sanctuary jurisdictions are the best friend of smugglers, gang members, drug dealers, human traffickers, killers, and other violent offenders.
We want our cities to be sanctuaries for Americans, not safe havens for criminals. That is why I am calling on Congress to block funds for jurisdictions that shield dangerous criminals.
It is time to end the bloodshed brought about by reckless sanctuary policies – and it is time to save American lives and American cities.

I believe this is the objective for Trump’s speech. He is reinforcing the Constitutional basis upon which the wall and immigration policy is to proceed. President Trump is making the case to increase public opinion by turning up the heat on the wall and immigration . This keeps the time rate at which he can direct the discretionary funding from the omnibus bill to start feeding money into wall construction and operating the security and manpower that will be required to enforce immigration policies.
This post makes about as much sense as a gnat flying thru a baseball size Hail Storm.
You must be really dumb if this speech doesn’t make any sense to you.
It is a very sensible declaration of the foolish and evil of protecting illegal immigrants. If you think this does not make sense, you must be illiterate. WHY DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD SUPPORT CRIMINALS? Are you brain dead, Leeroy Smith?
We voted for President Trump because he was going to uphold the constitution and bring back law to our country. We are all fed up with illegal immigrants coming into our country, supporting all of them, and dealing with the criminals, the gangs, the drugs. The states that provide sanctuary cities our doing so illegally. The DEMS have made it impossible for the President to secure our borders and bring peace to our communities. DEMS in CA have given them a free pass to vote, and to stay in this country collecting benefits!! We have honorable people waiting to be approved for citizenship, our courts are overwhelmed. We don’t know where these people are going once they get it in the country. The President needs congregational support and votes to clean up the Immigration problem, laws to protect our citizens, and deport those who have committed horrific crimes against our people. We need VOTES in November to keep politicians and bring those into office that are going to support the President, uphold our Constitution, and stop the flow of illegals coming into our country. We are spending millions on welfare, food stamps, medicaid, cell phones, you name it. I saw a chart the other day, by state, we’re spending 116Billion!!! We wouldn’t have the drug problem but we’ve been letting drug peddlers walking through our boarders. It has brought much pain to our people, supporting them, allowing them here, and the death of police officers trying to protect communities. Maybe if we could uphold our borders, we could really take care of the elderly, those that have terminal illness, childhood illness, people without adequate medical coverage to save the lives of family members, and our veterans. We would have plenty of money to help the poor! The DEMS want illegals in here for votes, they’ll promise them everything!!! Just think of the money we would save so we could really help the people in our country that need it. Think about it, we need to be strong!!!! Vote for Republicans will support the platforms that we hold dear. God Bless our President and God Bless one and all!
And what is the President doing about the march on it’s way here, through Mexico from Honduras? I hope you’r calling in the national guard to stop them from SETTING FOOT in our country. Not only act on the funding to those cities that I have recently found out can only be done by suing each “sanctuary” city independently, but how about arresting public officials that violate federal law? To me that would be a quicker way to END the insanity of “sanctuary” anything.
If you do NOT prosecute those elected officials that are violating federal law to the fullest extent of the law then there is NO reason for them to stop. They feel that they are “above the law”.

America is for Americans and those people the law allows in legally. Why do we have to put up with any illegal aliens? Send them back to where they came from quickly. I don’t think they need to go to court just because they walked across our border. We have embassies around the world to screen people wishing entry into the US for legitimate reasons. Sure there are people around the world with problem, but we can’t be the answer for everyone, we have people at home with problems that we need to help first.
Cut out all benefits to the illegals and if the states and cities don’t comply cut out all federal funding to that state or city, including schools. Get tough. I’m tired of paying for all of this.
No person will solve these issues in any short order, but at least the president is attempting to put a stop to it. Everyone enjoys the criticism and demands a quick fix. These issues did not just occur over night and they have to be dismantled at several levels. Did any one hear Mr Obama seriously address this problem and actually do anything to help. The answer is NO.
I believe our president is making inroads in many areas and doing as best to solve many, many problems besides this one. Give the man an opportunity to do justice with Americans. I’m very loyal to this man as Ive witnessed many politicians make promises and never really attempted to solve ANY of them.

Art, great comments! The DEMS are obstructing justice, they all need to put on their big boy and big girl panties and look at what a mess they are making in Congress and in our cities. Why are they even being paid, they are absolutely NOT doing a thing to help our cities!!! They would rather keep open borders, let the middle class support all these lawbreakers, and destroy America! Our freedoms as citizens here legally are being taken away one at a time! The DEMS don’t care, they want to make us miserable! They want to try anything to get our President out of office! He has done more for America the short time he has been in office then the DEMS, OBAMA, & CLINTON, BIDEN, have done in their whole time in office! What is wrong with these Politicians those of whom are supposed to be protecting us, the American People ??? Can they not see that a majority of the American People want the

Mike, Not only have I done all of your recommendations, I have also requested an audience with our representative. Everything, seems to fall on deaf ears. It’s very frustrating. Cut Federal payrolls by 10%, 20% for the IRS, and then kick the UN off our soil and get rid of all those spies and terrorists.

President Trump clearly made the case for the deportation of the criminal illegal alien element from our communities! And for the method of dealing with them. Sanctuary cities increase utility bills and payments for various municipal services 2-3 times compared to previous city administrations, all to ensure increased social aid for illegal immigrants and their children and ….. very interesting these increases do not affect Democrats ! Sanctuary cities introduce new taxes or payments that have never existed ! For example, people now have to pay storm charges for the land that has never had such a thing and for which the cities have not made an investment in the past one hundred years requiring such payments ! etc. ,etc …..

It’s unbelievable that there are so many crooks in our State! I am a born citizen of California and now find myself in danger of so many disturbing acts of violence.
