A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows that most voters oppose eliminating Immigration and Customs Enforcement — the homeland security agency some liberal Democrats have called for abolishing. Only 1 in 4 voters in the poll, 25 percent, believe the federal government should get rid of ICE. The majority, 54 percent, think the government should keep ICE.

Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) — have also called for eliminating or replacing ICE, as have other Democratic primary challengers, like Cynthia Nixon, who is running against New York Gov. @Tony Rowell – That kind of ignorant statement is precisely the kind of statement that the Left uses against those who support SELF DEFENSE through the use of firearms, as provided for in the Constitution. You may not be aware of this, but the Constitution does NOT give anyone the right to murder because they feel like it, or have come up with an excuse in their own minds to do so, as you seem to have. The kind of thinking that produced this kind of glib statement is ignorant, mentally unbalanced, and a reason for people to be afraid of those who promote gun violence at the drop of a hat, like yourself. While many who visit this article will no doubt support the 2nd amendment, the vast majority will oppose anyone making such a reprehensible statement as this. No one who believes in the right to bear arms advocates the kind of action you have promoted with this ignorant statement, which obviously was not said in any kind of joking manner. Hopefully, someone will come and take your guns away, and leave the rest of us who use our firearms for self defense the hell alone, and in doing so make the world a safer place.

Apparently many Democrats have lost all their common sense, if they ever had any. Some very strange attitudes are surfacing these days…. there seems to be some sort of mass hysteria going on. We need BETTER immigration policies, and that is the job of Congress, but eliminating ICE is certainly NOT the way to go. People need to wake up and use their brains, not succumb to all the twisted propaganda being put out by the likes of CNN and all the other so-called “Mainstream Media,” who seem to be interested only in finding out just how far they can go no matter who they hurt in the process, including this country, itself. Shame! —

This country has spiraled since that key point in our time. I often ask people what the hell did you THINK was gunna happen when you voted for that? But moreover…this is a very scary time. That celebrities who are uneducated spout off on social media like America should care what they think….and Millenials…now this is an area where we all need to take the bull by the horns and correct these youngsters way of thinking. As far as I can see, if you want to get rid of something, it should be what was put into effect after the Bush administration brought the country 9/11 and because of that installed the “Patriot Act” and “Homeland Security” and a great wave of corruption into all government agencies!!! That what’s needed to be cleaned up and the people responsible should be in prison!!!! President Trump is doing a great job, protecting our borders, fixing our economy, bolstering our law enforcement and military, caring for our vets, rebuilding our interior, getting rid of unbelievably bad laws, getting rid of unjust tariffs, the list goes on and on. I have been polled. I am proud to back our president. I wasn’t behind him in the beginning. I voted for him when he became the republican running, of course. I wanted Huckabee or Carson. But, Trump is doing amazing and doesn’t kiss up to anyone. That is one thing that I always did like about him. He is not easily intimidated or swayed. We needed that in our leader. I think that he was elected by the prayers of the people.
First and foremost, one must understand what the “progressive party'” really wants to accomplish…utter destruction of our current way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness….and reorganize our way of thinking beginning at kindergarten age,,,takes time and patience, but they have it!!! Just one thing that the story did not say which was in the report, 62% think ICE needs changes, even some that said to get rid if ICE if it was not changed.

Without Borders, we do not have a Country. Exactly! They want to come to America then do it the right way. My sentiment as well.
My suggestion is that since those on the left do not like ICE (or evidently any other law enforcement agency that is there to protect them), is this: send a member or 2 of MS-13 to their homes & let them deal with the resultant chaos, bodily harm, mayhem & possible murder. A country without law & order is not a country; a country without a border is not a country.
Not only keep ICE, but add a massive Drug Enforcement Division, with broad sweeping powers, that include jurisdiction over state, city and county governments, as the latter are NOT doing their job, have lost local funding for same and in sanctuary cities the drug users and dealers have taken over, with endless rights, leaving their oppressed neighbors, with no recourse. I was in law enforcement for 28 years but I wouldn’t wear a uniform or badge today for any amount of salary. A report came out just after the talk about abolishing Ice showed that Ice made 48,000 arrests on assault offences, 5,000 for on sexual assaults, 2,000 kidnappings, 1,800 homicides and 76,000 drug offences in 2017 these numbers do not include arrests by other agencies. Why would anyone want Americans to suffer more crimes.
Considering that the police departments in the sanctuary cities today have the majority only personnel with democratic views (cleaning was total !), ICE is needed more than ever.
