My Fellow Americans,
Protecting the safety and well-being of American Citizens is my highest duty as President. Yet, lawless sanctuary jurisdictions are nullifying federal law, obstructing immigration enforcement, and releasing thousands of criminal aliens into U.S. communities to prey on innocent victims. It’s absolutely terrible.
For example, in recent days, San Francisco officials denied ICE’s request to turn over a criminal alien with a prior conviction for battery and a charge for driving under the influence.
In another city in California, local law enforcement recently denied ICE’s request to turn over a criminal alien convicted of Sexual Battery who had a history of domestic violence. A truly violent person.
And last week, the mayor of Oakland warned criminal aliens of a coming ICE enforcement action – giving them time to scatter and hide from authorities. The mayor’s conduct directly threatened the safety of federal immigration officers and the law-abiding Americans in her community.
The State of California is sheltering dangerous criminals in a brazen and lawless attack on our Constitutional system of government. Every state in our Union is subject to the laws and Constitution of the United States – including California. Yet California’s leaders are in open defiance of federal law. They don’t care about crime. They don’t care about death and killings. They don’t care about robberies. They don’t care about the kind of things that you and I care about.
In other recent cases, New York authorities released illegal aliens who were previously charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, possession of poisonous drugs, and strangling a person – in each case, New York officials had refused to turn these dangerous illegal aliens over to ICE or notify ICE about their release with enough time for them to be safely arrested.
Just this week, the city of Denver refused ICE’s request to turn over a criminal illegal alien charged with vehicular homicide for killing another driver in a horrific hit-and-run.
Sanctuary jurisdictions are the best friend of smugglers, gang members, drug dealers, human traffickers, killers, and other violent offenders.
We want our cities to be sanctuaries for Americans, not safe havens for criminals. That is why I am calling on Congress to block funds for jurisdictions that shield dangerous criminals.
It is time to end the bloodshed brought about by reckless sanctuary policies – and it is time to save American lives and American cities.

I live in Southern CA and it sickens me what Brown and other leaders are doing in this state. Every Republican needs to vote in every election this year. The only way CA will ever be the great state it was decades ago is to put it back in the hands of republicans. VOTE OUT EVERY DEMOCRAT IN 2018!!!

When the people of CA sit on their butts and do not actively take part to change things, we will continue to see no improvement. I am of the people of CA and we are not sitting on our butts. You cannot imagine how disheartening it is to watch your vote get outnumbered because for several years now illegals have been voting and they with the democrats outnumber us. Those that broke the law with their votes need to be deported and would be nice if that could happen before the next election. Meg Whitman would have made a fantastic governor but the dems pointed out that she had an illegal working for her. The illegal lied with a fake id. She was a babysitter making $23 an hour. I would like to make that kind of money babysitting. Meg had to pay several thousand more dollars because the illegal had to do extra errands such as drive them to school. That is how we ended up with Moonbeam. He was a horrid governor the first time around and even worse this time. Yes, people of CA are stupid but really, not all of us. We’re just outnumbered.
The President would probably love to stop the money from being delivered but he need Congress to change the law to do so. Congress in particularly the Senate needs 60 votes to do that and there are not 60 votes no Democrats will cross the aisle to vote yes. Makes the November election a critical election

I am in CA and wonder why the families of wronged/injured/killed individuals can not sue the governor, officers that did not report releases to ICE, etc for their loss??

If these Mayors feel that they’re more important than the laws that are on the books, and they can create their own laws, it’s time for them to be arrested for breaking FEDERAL laws, and to spend time in jail – – for not only breaking the law, but for harboring criminals, and endangering the lives of American Citizens!! That would make these Mayors accomplices to crimes that these thugs committed, and they could serve some serious crimes!! AG Jeff Sessions should see that they serve time in a FEDERAL prison, and in the case of the Oakland, California Mayor, I would go after Eric Holder as well, since he was hired to handle the legal cases regarding California. Prosecute the politicians and their minions both criminally and in civil court for monetary damages. If everyone who is a victim of a crime committed by an illegal sued

Her announcement falls into the category of freedom of speech. She made a “general” announcement about a pending ICE raid, and announced no specifics. If she had stated the specific date, specific time, specific location, or specific persons targeted by the raid then that would definitely be aiding and abetting, and obstruction of justice.

President Trump, please enforce Federal Law with these illegals. Federal Law trumps State Law when it is in violation of our United States Constitution. Not only is California flaunting the illegals in the face of Federal Law, but, they are also challenging Federal Law by selling illegal drugs and pocketing the illegal money from the taxes that the State collected. This illegal money, probably amounts to billions of dollars by now, because previous administrations were looking the other way. That money is so dirty, California and Colorado businesses can’t deposit it in a legitimate bank. The banks know, if they take the deposits of those illegal drug funds, their actions can cause a bank to have all of their assets sized if the Federal Government does it’s job and enforces Federal Law. This also applies to Colorado and all the other States that are watching the Government look the other way and implementing their own illegal drug sales. Seizing those billions of dollars, will go a long way in supporting anti-drug and treatment programs and kill the under-world drug activity that rides on the back of these State approved drug sales.

Amazing charges aren’t being brought against these people responsible for issuing orders for their law enforcers to not enforce federal laws. Amazing. I consider what these people choosing their own laws to obey as hate crimes.
